- 2 oz. of Acetone
- cut foil wraps
- nail file
- orange wood sticks
Instructions: First, file top of nail polish to gently break the seal of the top coat. Do not file too harshly as not to damage the nail. Soak pulled cotton in acetone and apply to nail, you want a thin soaked layer of cotton and not too much cotton otherwise it won't penetrate. Wrap each finger in foil and let soak for 10-15 minutes. Pro tip: Doing one hand at a time is more efficient so you can let one hand soak fully and push off then go to the next hand. After no chip is dissolved, take orange wood sticks to gently push the polish from the nail plate. If it is not coming off, soak again for 5 minutes. Do not scrape the nail as this could cause damage. Once no chip is all removed gently buff your nails in a vertical motion (not side to side like usually thought) to remove any base coat left and smooth ridges. Also file your nails to seal the free edge and get your perfect shape back. Wash hands to remove dust and residue. Immediately apply olive oil to nail plate to moisturize cuticles, sidewalls and nail plate. Acetone is drying and this will replenish moisture and hydration right away. Leave on as long as you can.
