Who you're booking with
Our Roses are Reiki-certified, trained in oncology protocols and trained for chemical sensitivities, and they have completed trauma-informed and gender-affirming training.
That training is the reason people drive across the city to sit in these chairs. It is also why you never have to explain yourself first — whether you are in treatment, reacting to everything, pregnant, or simply here for an hour of quiet that belongs to you.
Lena Rose is non-tipping: the price on the menu is the whole price. Every Rose is a W-2 employee on a living wage with paid leave and benefits.

Where are you, and when are you open?
Two shops. Lincoln Square: 4645 N Rockwell St, Chicago, IL 60625, (872) 227-8943 — Monday 10–7, Wednesday to Friday 10–7, Saturday and Sunday 9–6, closed Tuesdays. Downtown Naperville: 14 W. Jackson Avenue, Naperville, IL 60540, (630) 335-7775 — Wednesday to Friday 10–7, Saturday and Sunday 10–6, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Both shops run the same menu at the same prices.
Do you take tips?
No, and that is on purpose. Lena Rose is non-tipping: the price on the menu is the whole price. Every Rose is a W-2 employee on a living wage with paid leave and benefits. People assume natural means expensive, but once you count the tip at a conventional salon we land within a few percent.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Someone will greet you by name, offer you tea, and ask what you want out of the time rather than talking at you about what you should want. You do not need to know anything, own anything, or have a routine. If you want to talk, we will talk. If you want a quiet hour where nobody asks you a single question, say that at the desk and that is exactly what you will get. Wanting an hour that belongs to you is a whole reason to come. It counts.
Do I need to book ahead?
Booking ahead is the surest way to get the time and the Rose you want — use the booking button on this page, or call your shop directly. If you are nearby and hoping for something same-day, call and we will tell you honestly what is open rather than making you guess.
Can you look after me if I am in cancer treatment, or if everyone else has shrugged at my skin?
Yes, and this is the part we are proudest of. Our Roses are trained in oncology protocols, trained for chemical sensitivities, Reiki-certified, and have completed trauma-informed and gender-affirming training. That is trainings actually completed, not a values statement on a wall. If you are in active treatment, we will work in consultation with your care team. Tell us what you need when you book, or call ahead — you will not have to explain yourself twice.
What is the membership?
One credit a month toward a service you choose, 10% off everything else, and credits that roll over. Opal is $122 a month and Jade is $155 — Jade includes everything in Opal plus its longer services. There is a three-month minimum and 30 days' notice to cancel, and unused credits are good for six months. It is less a subscription than a standing appointment with yourself. You can join at either shop.
Is Lena Rose expensive?

That is the whole answer. Once you count a conventional salon’s tip, we land within a few percent, and the difference goes to the people taking care of you rather than into a tip jar.
