If you’ve been a follower of Lena Rose Beauty for any length of time, you know that our commitment is both to beauty and sustainability equally. We don’t believe anyone should sacrifice the luxury of quality beauty products for sustainability. The good news is, you don’t have to! Our products and services are heavily researched and handcrafted with natural, clean ingredients which means we all benefit—people and planet.  

Over the years, we’ve developed our own practices that keep us honest about our commitment to you and our environment. We’re excited to share some of them to give you a fuller picture of our work as a spa and shop. Though at the moment our spa is closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we are still able to practice our good habits in our online shop. Here’s a bit of what we do:

• We buy only organic ingredients, ideally local and seasonal when possible. In 2020, we plan to work with local farms to order fresh herbs and ingredients to use in services and products.
• We order in bulk for inventory and supplies to reduce our carbon imprint.
• We are (led by our fearless leader, Jenny) constantly evaluating the latest research and we eliminate product lines that contain known human or environmental pollutants.
• The Lena Rose Beauty website is powered by green hosting, wind-powered servers that are as close as possible, so data is traveling less.
• We use technology whenever possible to reduce paper use: for schedules, contracts, invoicing, ordering, booking, etc.
• Lena Rose Beauty is a member of the Green Spa Network to pledge our support of environmental initiatives.

When it comes down to it, we believe in taking care of our planet just as much as we take care of ourselves. Our mission is to provide products and services that set a new standard for the beauty industry. We hope we all come to expect this level of care from every beauty spa and retailer in the near future! Until then, we’ll keeping doing what we believe is best.
