Clean beauty means choosing products that are made without ingredients of concern and unnecessary additives. At Lena Rose, clean beauty is about transparency, safety, and integrity. You’ll never find synthetic fragrances, parabens, formaldehyde, or other known irritants in our skincare, makeup, or spa products. Clean beauty is about asking:
Is this safe for my skin? Is this safe for my health?
But for us, that’s just the starting point.

Our Mission
Lena Rose was founded on the belief that what you put on your skin should support your health and the earth’s well-being. That’s why we:
- Source from local farms where we can, and use organic ingredients when possible
- Use whole-plant ingredients and minimal processing
- Choose products that are cruelty-free, ethically sourced and made in small batches
- Cut waste with glass jars, compostable pouches and TerraCycle zero-waste boxes. We compost, and we still use some plastic.
- Favor brands that share our standards for sustainability and fair labor

Why Green Beauty Matters more than ever
Since 2021 we've kept 1,050 lbs of salon and beauty waste out of landfill: 642 lbs sent to TerraCycle since September 2021, and 408 lbs composted with WasteNot Compost at Lincoln Square since April 2021. Small numbers, honestly measured by our partners.
Water use, plastic and synthetic chemicals all leave a mark on our ecosystems. As Jenny puts it: “It's about progress not perfection.”

How We Implement This
Our Products: Every brand we stock is chosen with intention for health and safety, with ingredient transparency and values we share.
Our Spa Treatments: Whole-plant lines like Laurel and Blissoma, plus our own House Line, made by hand in small batches in our Naperville lab.
Our Studio: Paper-board nail files that go in the compost, no jetted pedicure tubs, nitrile gloves only, and TerraCycle boxes for your empty beauty packaging.
Our Education: Helping you understand what is in your skincare and what it means for you and the planet, without fear.
Our Packaging: Glass jars and compostable pouches wherever we can. We still use some plastic, and we say so.
