Think of it as a green smoothie for your skin. This balm turns into a soft, creamy mask when you add a splash of water, releasing berry seed oils, garden herbs, pumpkin seed and oat to wake up a tired, dull complexion. Skin looks brighter and more even right away, and with regular use it holds moisture better and feels bouncier. It's vegan.
Who it's for: Oily, dry, combination and mildly sensitive skin that looks dull, tired or uneven, especially in the gray months. A great weekly reset.
Key ingredients: Cupuaçu butter holds up to four times its weight in water to help keep skin hydrated. Cranberry, raspberry and pumpkin seed oils bring vitamins A and E and antioxidants. Plantain, wild bergamot and self-heal help firm the look of skin and fade the look of dark marks. Fine oat and pumpkin seed powder gently polish, snow mushroom hydrates, and clay and blue-green algae add minerals.
Why we carry it: Live Botanical is made by an herbalist in small batches in Portland, Oregon, mostly from plants grown across the Pacific West. We first carried the line in 2018 and are so happy to have it back on our shelves.
How to use
In a small bowl or your palm, mix ½ to 1 teaspoon of balm with a sprinkle of cool water until creamy. Brush or smooth a thick layer over your face and neck and leave on for 30 minutes. Remove gently with a warm, damp cloth. A little pinkness from increased circulation is normal and fades quickly. Use up to twice a week. Bonus: a small amount also works as a nourishing cleansing balm.

50 ml / 1.7 oz. A tart-fruit, earthy herbal scent with less than 0.5% essential oils. Vegan. Live Botanical makes only two or three batches a year. The balm ranges from mint to olive and turns green or teal with water. Plant butters soften in warm weather; stir and chill to firm it back up.
