Lena Rose Beauty is committed to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in how we employ, how we serve, and how we show up in our communities.

Our founder has spent more than twenty years, since her first day as a licensed nail technician in 2003, working to reduce chemical exposure in nail salons for the clients in the chair and the technicians beside it. That work is the foundation of this business: an industry known for wage theft, labor trafficking and daily chemical exposure has for too long asked its workers, most of them women and many of them women of color, to accept those conditions as the cost of the job. We do not accept that.

Every Rose is hired and advanced on skill and character, employed as a W-2 team member on a living wage that does not depend on gratuities, and provided the same benefits, breaks and safe working conditions regardless of who they are. Every client receives services and products that are safe for every body. We prioritize women-owned, BIPOC-owned and local suppliers, and we advocate publicly for the health and rights of salon workers, including our support for Illinois Public Act 104-0545.

This commitment is reviewed annually, and we will report on our progress and on where we have fallen short. Jenny Duranski, owner, is accountable for it.
