A handmade rice and lavender heating pad you can warm in the microwave or chill in the freezer: a warm pack for your shoulders, neck or cold feet.
Who it's for: Period cramps, sore shoulders, a stiff neck, lower back ache, tight hips, cold feet and tension headaches. Warm it for cramps and tight muscles after a long desk day or a workout; chill it for a headache, a hot flash or puffy, tired eyes. A cozy gift for a coworker, a host or a Secret Santa swap.
Scent: A very light lavender.
Key ingredients: About 8 by 7 inches, sized for shoulders, neck, lower back or feet. Warm it in the microwave or cool it in the freezer. Each one is sewn in a different linen or cotton print.
To warm, microwave in 30-second bursts until it feels just right. To cool, freeze for about 2 hours. Rest it wherever you want warmth or cool.
Test the heat on your wrist first, and don't overheat. Spot clean only. Fabrics are chosen at random, so yours may not match the photo. Sizes vary a little because each one is handmade.
