A soft, melt-on-contact face balm for dry, sensitive skin that needs a break. Live Botanical blends fair-trade Amazonian butters, plant sterols and phospholipids into a breathable layer that seals in moisture and helps a stressed skin barrier feel calm and comfortable again.
Who it's for: Dry, tight, flaky or sensitive skin, skin that stings when the weather turns, and anyone whose barrier feels worn down by winter, over-exfoliating or a long stretch of travel. There are no added essential oils, so it's a gentle pick for reactive skin.
Key ingredients: Cupuaçu, tucumã, ucuuba and bacuri butters soften rough patches and help skin stay supple. Buriti, bacaba and soursop oils bring antioxidants. Jojoba and pomegranate sterols form the final seal so water stays in the skin. Unrefined phospholipids arrange themselves much like skin's own lipids, so the balm works with your skin instead of just sitting on top of it.
Why we carry it: Live Botanical is made by an herbalist in small batches in Portland, Oregon, mostly from plants grown across the Pacific West. We first carried the line in 2018 and are so happy to have it back on our shelves.
How to use
Use as the last step of your routine, over damp skin or a hydrating serum. On extra-dry nights, press on a thicker layer and let it work while you sleep. On milder days, mix a little with a serum in your palm for a lighter day cream. It's lovely over the Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum.

Good to know
30 ml / 1 oz. Earthy, nutty scent with no added essential oils. Contains beeswax, so it is not vegan. Plant butters soften in warm weather and the color can deepen from soft yellow to orange; it works exactly the same.
